Ok this week’s GetAtMe HotNewHit is Desiigner’s ‘PANDA’. At first I really thought this was one of these industry pushes out of New York (because Hot 97 in New York was so early on this cut). Getting past the foolishness of he sounds like Future (and Future sounds like T-Pain so what…), this is a good track. Here’s the stats:

DEMOGRAPHIC- 12pts (out of 20pts) This cut scored cool through all demos (another indicator of hit…). The females may deliver this cut…. (the pandas are cute…)
MARKET- 11pts (out of 20 pts) this cut is already making moves in the streets and mixtapes/online. The club and dj action is also cool. This cut now has to develop more radio but they have 3 of the corners covered…
HITFACTOR- 11.3pts (out of 20pts) This song has all the traction for a hit (if it doesn’t get caught up in industry politics). That’s why those itunes sales are so important. If this cut was selling more this would be a slam dunk. The label should really encourage fans cooperation on this cut (mashups and more remixes). The amount of indie remixes of this cut already signals hit potential.
TOTAL- 51.3pts (out of 80pts) This cut gets a low B (great for an indie but competitive for a major player like G.O.O.D. Music). If they deliver radio and he has an effective live promo campaign then this one wins, but remember real fans buy #FRFR.
