On this GetAtMe Itunes Top Sellers Rihanna is num 1 with ‘WORK’ (hugh airplay and sales…). FloRida ‘MY HOUSE’ continues his assault on the top 5 (with no urban radio... #wow) and stays at num 2. TwentyOnePilots ’STRESSED OUT’ stays in the top 5 at num 3 (great video…) and Justin Bieber’s ‘LOVE YOURSELF’ is num 4 and at nu 5 is Charlie Puth’s ‘ONE CALL AWAY’. That’s this GetAtMe Itunes Top sellers for 2/22/2016.
We sort of have adjusted the chart at GetAtMe to reflect a more Hip Pop feel whereas we can get a better feel of the taste of the new online buying market (it doesn’t matter if it’s hot on the mixtape circuit or in the clubs because we have no way to gauge traction. Note to HipHop). To continue to be an effective industry we have to champion sales (streams are streams not sales and definitely not a real consumer commitment. A real commitment is when fans buy). It seems that Hip Pop fans don’t have the same issue of customer purchase support that hiphop has acquired, so we changed our charts to reflect the sales environment.
